The Beatitudes in Aramaic and Body-Based Meditations

Experience the beatitudes in Aramaic along with their body-based prayers that can bring healing and wholeness to each of us! This summer, we will be using the audio recordings of The Healing Breath: Body-Based Meditations on the Aramaic Beatitudes by Neil Douglas-Klotz.

These lessons take us into the wisdom of Jesus as a native mystic of the Middle East using his Aramaic language as a key to unlock the spirituality and embodied spiritual practice that he taught.

Throughout the summer months, we will learn 24 authentic ‘body prayers’ as Jesus first taught them incorporating breath, sound, and gentle movement to connect to the Spirit of Jesus Our time together begins with gentle movement at 6:30 PM in the narthex (optional) with simple and easy movements to release energy and help us calmly transition into our meditation at 7 PM. The Aramaic Beatitudes will follow at 7:30 PM. No mat, equipment or special clothing is needed. Come any time during the evening.
