MLK Day of Service

with Church World Service

Join Church World Service for an intergenerational day of learning and serving at the Saint James warehouse to stock and organize household items needed by new refugees settling in Lancaster. Volunteers will be helping 8 refugee families get settled in Lancaster!

The day begins at 9:00 AM in the parish house forum room. Tasks for children include stocking backpacks and kits for families and creating welcome cards and banners. Click here to visit the CWS Amazon wish list of household and personal items for the refugee families.

Schedule:

9:00 AM; Gather in the parish house forum room for hospitality and CWS presentation

9:45 AM; Instructions for the day

10:00 AM - 1:00 PM; Work in the forum room and warehouse. Children can stay in the forum room and build backpacks or kits for families along with welcome cards and banners. Able-bodied youth and adults can help with setting up the warehouse and organizing household items on the shelves.
