The Never-Ending Prayer: A Themed, Prayer Labyrinth Walk

Led by Carmel Marie Stabley, Regional Representative Coordinator for The Labyrinth Society (TLS) and a Veriditas Certified-Advanced Labyrinth Facilitator

The practice of pilgrimage or quest is present in many cultures and is part of nearly every religion. For some, pilgrimage may mean a journey to a place where holiness is apparent or where a divine and human encounter took place. For others, the passage is symbolic of the soul’s journey to God, an inward experience of sacred geography.

When walked with intention, the labyrinth becomes a sacred journey which personifies the way of the pilgrim whose whole life’s course may be recognized as a pilgrimage. A simple walk on the concentric path can become a ritual to enact your sacred quest. When the four movements of the labyrinth, which are the same way one moves through a pilgrimage, become entrained all life becomes an unceasing prayer and we learn to respond as Christ would. Our whole being remembers gratefulness, to release, receive, and to resolve. Join an ancient practice, reconnect with your center while in community with like-minded wanderers.

Register Here! Only 25 spaces are available.

In 2010 Carmel Stabley walked her first steps on the 11 circuit path as a practice in mindfulness. Now serving as an Advanced-Certified Labyrinth Facilitator with training through Veriditas in Chartres, France, as well as labyrinth studies and pilgrimages in Sweden, Spain, and Iona, Carmel hosts’ monthly walks and seminars in Lancaster Pa. and the surrounding area where she creates labyrinth experiences and provides teaching on the history, sacred geometry and the mental, physical and spiritual benefits of the walking meditation practice. She is the originator of the Labyrinth Connection of Susquehanna Valley, a group of walkers with a newsletter and Facebook page by the same name which connects walkers to events. She is also a Certified Contemplative Leader, a Reiki Practitioner, and the Regional Representatives Coordinator for The Labyrinth Society (TLS).
