Fall Series: Holy Companions by Rev. Mary C. Earle and Sylvia Maddox
September 22nd and October 20th
What does a walk with Jesus look like in the twenty-first century? There is much to enjoy, share and discuss in Holy Companions, Spiritual Practices from the Celtic Saints !
Join Women’s Gathering on September 22nd and discover the rich tradition of Celtic spirituality. In their book, Episcopal priest Mary C. Earle and retreat leader Sylvia Maddox transport us back to Ireland, Scotland and Wales to the fourth through the seventh centuries. Although historians often identify these years with chaos, disintegration and violence, Earle and Maddox uncover extraordinary Christian holy living during the “Age of Saints.” Experience the power of scripture, oral tradition, meditation and prayer as you get to know and journey with eighteen inspiring Celtic men and women.
God’s blessing be yours,
And well may it befall you;
Christ’s blessing be yours,
And well be you entreated;
Spirit’s blessing be yours,
And well spend you your lives,
Each day that you rise up,
Each night you lie down.

Women’s Gathering typically meets on the third Saturday of each month for fellowship, study, prayer, and worship. This lay-led group explores topics related to faith and spiritual practices and periodically seeks outside sources and opportunities to deepen their experience.
