DESCRIPTION:Join Cordelia Moyse and StephJo Wise as we tend to our historic churchyard. Teens and adults can gently scrub pollution and lichen from our fascinating church gravestones. Cordelia will reflect on our communion of saints and how to care for our history together. A special bucket and brush will be provided for cleaning the gravestones for those who register. \nFamilies of all ages are also invited to give our church yard some much-needed care. Families will work together to remove invasive plant species from the garden and tidy up the grounds. Bring gardening gloves if you have them; we will also have some on hand. \nWe’ll kick off our morning with coffee and donuts in the gazebo. Please wear work clothes and enclosed shoes or boots\, and bring some elbow grease! \nClick here to sign up!

SUMMARY:Children's Chapel
DESCRIPTION:Children’s Chapel* meets weekly during the 10:30 AM Sunday Mass. Children and youth ages 3 and above begin the morning in the sanctuary where they can experience the processional and the opening congregational prayers. \nAfter the opening Collect\, children are invited to the front of the sanctuary to make their way to the chapel and participate in songs\, prayers\, brief meditation and storytelling of the day’s Gospel and/or New and Old Testament readings. \nThe Godly Play® teaching method includes using beautiful wooden figures\, candles\, and symbolic colors to aid our storytelling as we listen to God’s word for us. Children often respond to the story using simple art supplies including crayons\, construction paper\, origami paper and Model Magic air dry clay. \nChildren return to the Sanctuary during the passing of the Peace. They are welcome to take part in Holy Communion.

It is a pathway to deeper prayer\, good decisions guided by keen discernment and an active life of service to others. \nThis 34-week program is designed for individuals who wish to commit to personal transformation by encountering God and deepening their experience of the divine. It will involve a daily and weekly commitment to spiritual practices with help and support from spiritual director Pat Latshaw. \nThe book\, The Ignatian Adventure by Kevin O’Brien will be used for discussion and to guide the group’s approach to spiritual growth with techniques that have been in use for almost 500 years. \nThe cost is $875 for 34 sessions.
