Saint James Scholarship Application

Applications are being accepted through Friday, May 29th at 12:00 Noon

Scholarships are granted annually to eligible parishioners who are attending post-secondary education, including full-time or part-time enrollment in an associate, bachelor’s, or graduate program. Eligibility also includes immediate family members of Saint James staff, including children and grandchildren. Funds will be provided to those individuals who are most actively involved in the life of this parish or community, or in the life of a parish or ministry at their school, and who demonstrate time and effort in completing the application in its entirety.

This application must be submitted in full to the Saint James Episcopal Church office no later than Friday, May 29, 2026, at 12:00 Noon. Late applications will not be considered. You will receive confirmation of receipt of your application to your email address within two business days of receipt. If you do not receive confirmation, you will need to contact the office and resubmit your application.

A complete application includes the following:

Parish and Community Engagement
In 100 words or less, describe your membership and engagement at Saint James (or at your college campus ministry, spirituality center, or parish, if you do not live in Lancaster during the academic year)? List any projects or extracurricular activities you participated in. If you are a repeat applicant, explain how you continue to engage in parish life at Saint James ie events, activities, etc.
Personal Growth
In 200 words or less, name an area in your life where you have been challenged and developed ways to learn and grow from it. If you are a repeat applicant, explain current challenges you’ve learned to manage or how usual challenges are managed currently.
