Nursery Schedule & Procedures

Caring for God's children

About

Nursery care at Saint James is available at the Sunday 10:30 AM Mass for infants through 3 years of age in the lower level seminar room of the church. Parents/guardians are asked to drop off their tots at 10:15 AM in the lower level of the church and pick them up by 11:45 AM. Parents are expected to sign their children in and following service to pick up their child before attending post-service events and socials.

Procedures

When you bring your child to the nursery, please remember to:

  1. Share any special needs or concerns you or your child may have including food allergies or medical issues.
  2. Provide a labeled diaper bag with extra  disposable diapers, fresh clothes and any bottles, drinks or snacks your child will need.
  3. Bring your child to church in a clean, dry diaper.
  4. Sign in your child and assist with his or her transition into the nursery as requested.

In the Case of Illness

Please keep your child home if he or she has exhibited any signs of illness in the past 24 hours. This is to provide a safe, healthy nursery for all our children. If you have any questions, please speak with the caregivers on this issue. If your child cries when you drop him or her off, please don't panic. Our caregivers will work with you to find the best way to comfort your child so you and your baby can enjoy your time at church.

Interested in helping in the nursery?
