Saint James Kids' Camp

Free for all children ages 5 - 11

July 22 through July 26

6:00 - 8:00 PM

This year's theme is "Compassion Camp: What Every Living Thing Needs." Each evening, children will explore the basic needs of all living things such as food, shelter, water, air, and community. Children will also learn about showing compassion towards the living earth, especially in their local ecosystems. By practicing awareness, gratitude, wonder, reciprocity and kinship, participants will understand how to care for God's creation and the interconnectedness of all life on earth. The camp will conclude with a swim party and dinner at a local parishioner's home on Friday.

Sessions will include:

  • A look at how God shows compassion for all living things based on Psalm 104
  • Songs with Phil Norris
  • Yoga with Kimberlee Peifer
  • Snacks with Kristy Clark
  • A look at our tree canopies presented by LANCASTER CONSERVANCY.
  • Building a bird house to take home.
  • Experiments and discussions to promote care for all living things.
  • Fun and games

The registration deadline is Friday, July 14th.
