On Saturday, February 22, learn how to create space and welcome rest back into your life. The retreat will be led by keynote speaker Erin Jean Warde, Episcopal Priest, Brené Brown-certified facilitator, author, and Reverend Stacey Carpenter, one of the clergy at Saint James. This retreat will remind us that the ancient and yet ever-new practice of rest teaches us that rest is essential to our relationship with God, ourselves, and the world. Rest is a divine gift that refreshes and renews our spirit.

This day retreat will be followed by an 8-week teaching series that invites you to go deeper into different ways to practice rest. This series will be organized and led by Stacey, with guest presenters for some sessions.
Erin Jean Warde
The Rev. Erin Jean Warde (she/her) is an Episcopal priest, spiritual director, recovery coach, and writer. She is the author of Sober Spirituality: The Joy of a Mindful Relationship with Alcohol, coming out April 2023. She offers a course, Discerning Sobriety, which helps participants bring spiritual practices and mindfulness into their relationship with alcohol. She is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator, so she incorporates the research of Brene Brown in the many facets of her work.
