Contemplative Citizenship goes into a summer mode on Wednesday evenings starting in July and running through August 13th. We will discuss art, history, and church and state politics by reflecting on T.S. Eliot’s Murder in the Cathedral, the great play of political and theological drama about the murder of Archbishop Thomas à Beckett by the Knights of King Henry II in 1170.
A staged reading of the play will be performed at Saint James on Tuesday, August 19th.
