The Saturday Night Mass at 5:00 PM will feature the sitar, one of the world’s most revered instruments, known for its spiritual depth and beautiful sound. The master sitarist Ravi Shankar once stated, “In India, we see our instruments as almost part of God… The quickest way to holiness is through music.”
John Protopapas, a remarkable teacher, virtuoso performer, and worship leader, has shared his extraordinary skill, wisdom, and spiritual insight during retreats at Saint James. His experiences in South Africa, Greece, and India enrich him as a human being, artist, and teacher.
The community looks forward to an exquisite Mass filled with music and chant that radiates mystical beauty, truth, and goodness, bringing unity and peace to both body and soul while harmonizing the inner and outer worlds of existence.
