Thy Kingdom Come

A world-wide call to prayer

In 2016, Thy Kingdom Come was launched as a call to prayer from Ascension Day to Pentecost, inviting people to pray for others to come to know the Word of God. What began as a seedling idea in the Church of England has since grown into a worldwide, ecumenical prayer movement involving 85 denominations and reaching 90% of the world. Thy Kingdom Come teaches us not only how to pray but also how to live out our faith. This year, Thy Kingdom Come will focus on a prayer known and loved worldwide: The Lord’s Prayer.

All are warmly invited to join the Daughters of the King in praying, during your personal prayer time, for the Holy Spirit to work in the lives of five individuals, so they may experience the Good News of Jesus Christ and His love for the world.

Pray-for-Five cards are available at the back of the sanctuary in preparation for our prayer focus beginning on Thursday, May 29th, on the Feast of the Ascension. A special service will be held at 7:30 PM to commemorate this sacred day when Jesus ascended into heaven. You can also participate by praying the Lord’s Prayer daily and joining a prayer walk with the Daughters of the King on Tuesday, June 3rd at 6:00 PM as we pray for our neighbors around Saint James.
