Join fellow parishioners and our friends from Church World Service for an evening of Haitian cuisine and story telling by Herve Dorsainvil, an acclaimed journalist in his native Haiti until political unrest forced him to flee the country.
He and his family arrived in Lancaster in 2018, seeking to rebuild their lives in safety. In addition to working as a Teacher’s Aide and watching his children become honor’s students at Manheim Township, he and his wife Marie have shared the cuisine of their homeland at events around Lancaster. On November 11th, they will serve a delicious Haitian meal to attendees and Herve will discuss his life as a prominent reporter and the way he and his family have rebuilt their lives since coming to Lancaster. The evening will conclude with practical ways to get involved so we can help make a difference!
